About Salesbury Bowling Club
We are a friendly Crown Green Bowling club, situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley.
The Club was founded in 1932, so we look forward to our centenary year in just 6 years’ time.
We cater for bowlers of all abilities – and none!
For absolute beginners, we can offer a ’try before you join’ arrangement, with either a friend who is already a club Member, or through a Bowls Buddy arrangement. (See the section on Becoming a Member).
For more experienced bowlers, there are opportunities to play either socially, or competitively.
Either way, new Members are always welcome.

In addition to the sporting aspect, the Club is very welcoming to those who wish only to be social Members, so they can enjoy the camaraderie of other Members, perhaps watching League or social bowling.
We don’t have an extensive programme of ‘social-only’ functions, but we do have refreshments post-match for a number of our internal competitions, as well as an annual ‘away-day’ and a Christmas lunch.
